About Rebecca Happy

The Gluten Free Place Senior AuthorMy name is Rebecca and I am the Senior Editor of this site. I decided to put it up when my eldest daughter was diagnosed with Celiac Disease when she went off to College. She had always been healthy but the move to a collective living arrangement with the added stress of living far from home in an academic institution triggered the onset of Celiac disease. She was sick for months and was given all sorts of diagnosis and even accused of inventing stories. After a lot of online searching thousands of sites and seeing multiple doctors, we decided to try a wheat free diet test.

The elimination of wheat and gluten from her diet almost instantly stopped all the symptoms of fatigue, stomach pains and diarrhea. When she eventually got to see a specialist after almost a year of being sick (who was surprised that Celiac Disease had NOT been flagged) she was properly diagnosed. Until that time she even experienced being berated from her doctor for having implemented a gluten free diet!

Through the trials and tribulations of helping my daughter and learning alongside her on the best things to do to stay vibrant and healthy while living with Celiac Disease I have seen the need for curated information to help others in the same situation. Gluten free living can be done with ease and it really is no big deal to implement. It even turns out that a gluten free diet has added benefits for those not burdened with a disease requiring one. Some people are choosing to eat gluten free for weightloss.

I work for a charity that supports adults with developmental disabilities. I am an internet marketer that helps local brick and mortar businesses with their online mobile marketing to generate more leads to their businesses. I love social media marketing, local search and especially youtube marketing. This is one of my favourite videos done just for fun.
